MPS celebrates 42nd Vietnamese Teachers’ Day

Member of the Politburo and Minister of Public Security General Luong Tam Quang attended and delivered a keynote speech at the meeting.

Albeit facing many difficulties and challenges in 2024, the Department of Training and Education under MPS and public security schools, with their strong determination and great effort, had effectively implemented resolutions of the Party and directives of the State as well as directions of the Public Security Party Central Committee and leaders of MPS on education and training work; as a result, the public security sector has achieved various important results.

Accordingly, public security academies and universities effectively implemented the Project on Reforming the Enrollment in Public Security Tertiary Schools, as well as successfully organized the 2024 public security tertiary school entrance exam in compliance with the examination procedures and regulations set by MPS.

During their academic year, public security schools also actively renovated their teaching and learning methods to adapt to the task requirements of public security units and agencies, while strongly promoting scientific research among their teaching staff and students.

Speaking at the meeting, on behalf of the Public Security Party Central Committee and leaders of MPS, Minister Luong Tam Quang applauded the excellent achievements of all public security teachers and educational administrators in the cause of public security education and training in particular and in the cause of protecting national security and social order in general.

The Minister stressed that the work of education and training in the Public Security Forces should be strongly renovated according to the principles of streamlining the workforce but modernizing education and training facilities and increasing practical training and application of knowledge to practice while avoiding credit mania.

Minister Luong Tam Quang requested involved units and agencies to clearly determine specific tasks on educational renovation according to Conclusion No.91 by the Politburo on continuing to implement Resolution No.29 on fundamental and comprehensive reform of education and training, while clearly specifying the responsibilities of the involved, set deadlines for projects, contributing to fulfilling the General Secretary’s directions, requiring that the cause of education and training reform should be finished during the 14th National Party Congress tenure.
