MPS considering improvement of investigation agencies

PSNews - Recently, the Department of Legal Affairs and Administrative, Judicial Reforms under the Ministry of Public Security (MPS) held a seminar to discuss the practical situation and orientations to improve investigation agencies and other agencies in charge of investigation to meet requirements for building a rule-of-law socialist State through 2030 with a vision toward 2045.

Major General Pham Cong Nguyen, Director of Department of Legal Affairs and Administrative, Judicial Reforms chaired the seminar. 

The event saw attention of leaders of the Supreme People's Procuracy, the Supreme People's Court, and representatives of relevant units under the MPS.

In his opening remarks, Major General Pham Cong Nguyen stated that the seminar aimed to evaluate the advantages and disadvantages of the current organizational structure, functions, tasks and authorities of investigation agencies and agencies responsible for investigation, and responsibilities of communal police in criminal investigation in accordance with the current laws.

Based on the discussions, the seminar would propose directions to improve investigation agencies of all kinds to meet requirements for building a rule-of-law socialist State through 2030 with a vision toward 2045, the official stressed.

At the seminar, the delegates discussed the current organizational structure, functions, tasks and authorities of investigation agencies and some agencies responsible for investigation. They also focused on clarifying connections between investigation agencies of all kinds and procuracies, courts and related agencies.
