Since the Ministry of of Public Security took over the State management of aviation security from the Ministry of Transport, it has led relevant under-ministerial units to draft legal documents in an effort to complete a comprehensive legal framework for the Public Security Forces to effectively perform aviation security tasks.

Accordingly, the Immigration Department, which takes the primary responsibility, has founded the Aviation Security Center. The center is tasked to monitor, maintain aviation security, as well as prevent, detect and handle cases related to aviation security.

Since the takeover of the responsibility, the MPS has rapidly consolidated the organization of the aviation security force and led the force to ensure absolute aviation security.

Meanwhile, the Immigration Department has actively coordinated with other MPS units and deployed synchronous measures to ensure the safety and security of aviation infrastructure projects and flights, thereby contributing significantly to national socio-economic development and international integration.

All 64 in-depth scientific papers sent to the organizing panel has been compiled in the conference proceedings while 18 of them was presented by leaders, experts and scholars at the meeting. The papers are all valuable as they discuss theoretical and practical aspects of ensuring aviation security in the current context.

In his concluding remarks, Deputy Minister Le Quoc Hung affirmed that the conference successfully clarified seven key issues regarding aviation security in the new situation, which need to be settled in the coming time.

He requested the organizers to thoroughly study and sum up all discussions and proposals given by delegates, and then report to MPS leaders.

Deputy Minister Le Quoc Hung also urged relevant units to coordinate with the organizing panel to complete a scientific report on the research outcomes of the Public Security Theoretical Council so that the council can early recommend the Minister of Public Security to make supplements to the aviation security theory as well as improve the efficiency of frameworks  aviation security meets the demands of the new situation.
