New Director of Dien Bien Provincial Police Department to take office

The Ministry of Public Security (MPS) held a ceremony in Dien Bien on November 15 to announce decisions of the Minister of Public Security to appoint cadres to leading positions of the Provincial Police Department of Dien Bien.

General To Lam, Politburo Member and Minister of Public Security, chaired the event.

The event also saw the presence of Mr. Nguyen Van Thang, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Mr. Le Thanh Do, Vice Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee; Mr. Lo Van Phuong, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Council; Lieutenant General To An Xo, Head of the MPS Office; Lieutenant General Mai Van Ha, Director of the Department for Information and Communication under the Ministry of Public Security (MPS); and other senior delegates.

According to the decisions announced at the event, Senior Colonel Trang A Tua, Director of Dien Bien Provincial Police Department, has been appointed as Director of the Department for “National Security Protection” Movement under the MPS while Senior Colonel Ngo Thanh Binh, Vice Director of the Department for Counter-Narcotics Department, has been appointed as Director of the Provincial Provincial Police Department. The decisions take effects from December 1, 2021.

Speaking at the event, Minister To Lam appreciated the efforts and achievements of Senior Colonel Trang A Tua and Senior Colonel Ngo Thanh Binh in their services over the past time.

Minister To Lam and Mr. Nguyen Van Thang also hoped that the two police officers would do their best to fulfil all their given tasks in their new positions.

For their parts, Senior Colonel Trang A Tua and Senior Colonel Ngo Thanh Binh vowed to accomplish all tasks given to them in their new positions.
