Minister of Public Security To Lam chaired an videoconference to thoroughly popularize conclusions and regulations of the Party Central Committee on Party building and rectification as well as to review the anti-corruption work in 2021 and roll out the action plan for 2022.

Secretary of the Public Security Central Party Committee (PSCPC) and Minister of Public Security General To Lam, who is also Head of the Public Security Steering Committee for Anti-Corruption, Thrift Practice, Anti-Wastefulness, chaired an videoconference to thoroughly popularize conclusions and regulations of the Party Central Committee on Party building and rectification as well as to review the anti-corruption work in 2021 and roll out the action plan for 2022.

The virtual event connected the Ministry of Public Security (MPS) Headquarters in Hanoi with police departments in provinces and municipalities across the country.

At the conference, Assoc. Prof., Ph.D. Nguyen Viet Thong, former Secretary General of the Central Theoretical Council briefed the delegates on Conclusion 21 of the Fourth Meeting of the 13th Party Central Committee on enhancing Party building and rectification of the entire Party organization and political system, resolutely prevent and hold back Party members’ and cadres’ degradations in terms of ideology, ethics and lifestyle, as well as drastically struggle against manifestations of “self-conversion” and “self-transformation” and Regulation 37 of the Party Central Committee on 19 acts that Party members must not do.

Major General Hoang Anh Tuyen, Deputy Chief of MPS Office presented the draft plan of the PSCPC on implementing Conclusion 21.

Also at the event, Major General Tran Duc Tuan, MPS Chief Inspector, delivered a report on task performances of the Public Security Steering Committee for Anti-Corruption, Thrift Practice, Anti-Wastefulness, and results of anti-corruption work of the Public Security Forces in 2021. He also presented the draft action plan on anti-corruption, thrift practice, and anti-wastefulness of the forces in 2022.

According to the report, over the past time, the Public Security Steering Committee for Anti-Corruption, Thrift Practice, Anti-Wastefulness has closely followed the directives of the Party and State, promulgating issued many documents directing the anti-corruption work of the Public Security Forces, and implemented comprehensive solutions to prevent, detect and handle corrupt and wasteful acts in the forces, and fight against corruption crimes.

Speaking at the conference, Minister To Lam asked all Party Committees of the Public Security Forces should be strictly abide by the prime principles of the Party, promote the combat strength of their Party organizations and members. They should make Party members fully aware of the purposes, meaning, requirements and contents of Conclusion 21 and Regulation 37, Minister To Lam added.

As Secretary of the PSCPC, General To Lam asked all cadres and party members of the Public Security Party organization, especially those holding leading positions, to uphold their sense of responsibility, be exemplary, and voluntarily implement the Party Central Committee’s conclusions and resolutions.

General Lam required that, after the conference, all-level Party Committees of the Public Security Forces shall roll out plans to implement the Party’s Conclusion and Regulation in line with their actual conditions.
