Earlier, Major Nguyen Huu Son, an officer of Immigration Control Team 3 under the Tan Son Nhat International Airport Border Gate Police was on duty at the immigration area of the international terminal of Tan Son Nhat Airport when he found a black leather wallet in the men's restroom. He opened it and saw 80,000 Japanese yen and personal papers inside.

Officer Son quickly reported to his superiors, and through professional check, the police determined that the above property belonged to Mr. Phuong. Having received his lost property, Mr. Phuong wrote a letter to thank the Tan Son Nhat International Airport Border Gate Police and Mr. Son personally, saying that he had just returned from Narita (Japan) and forgotten his wallet when he was in the bathroom, and that he was lucky enough when the one who has first seen his wallet was a police officer.
