According to reports at the meeting, in spite of the complicated situation of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2021, the nationwide police force made great efforts to fulfil its assigned tasks.

The force has basically met the targets set by the National Assembly with some fields outperformed.

The whole criminal police force has handled over 134,000 reports on and denunciations of criminal acts while the clearance rate for criminal cases was 86.37%, and that for serious cases reached over 90%.

Speaking at the conference, on behalf of the MPS, Minister To Lam highly appreciated the outstanding results achieved by the police force at all levels over the past time.

He noted that, in 2022, the crime situation will probably be more complicated as the COVID-19 pandemic is gradually put under control.

He requested, the conference should discuss thoroughly key issues, find new approaches to improve the quality and effectiveness of crime prevention and handling in the coming time.

Particularly, the minister asked the entire police force to focus on fighting crime and ensuring security, social order, and safety during the upcoming Tet holiday.
