Prime Minister calls for expansion of paperless boarding solution
Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh attended the launching ceremony of a program on piloting electronic identification, authentication and biometric boarding solution at Terminal 3, Tan Son Nhat Airport, Ho Chi Minh City, on April 19.

Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Nguyen Van Nen and Deputy Minister of Public Security Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Long attended the ceremony.
The new solution, developed by units under the Ministry of Public Security in coordination with relevant agencies, enables passengers with a level-2 electronic identification account to complete all required procedures, including booking, check-in, security screening, and boarding via a fully contactless process using facial recognition technology through the integrated “Aviation Service” feature on the VNeID application.

The overall biometric solution at boarding gates significantly shortens the waiting time for passengers, particularly during the peak periods of holidays and Tet, bringing a high-quality experience to passengers.
In his remarks, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh emphasized that the pilot project contributes to the implementation of the Politburo’s Resolution No. 57 on breakthrough development of science and technology, innovation, and digital transformation as well as Resolution No. 59 on international integration in the new context.
He noted that the program reflects Vietnam’s strong determination to catch up with, move in tandem with and lead global trends in the digital era, contributing to the country’s long-term strategic development goals.
