Public Security Architects’ Association and MPS Construction Consulting Center make debut

The first Congress of Public Security Architects’ Association (PSAA) was organized in Hanoi on December 19. On the same day, the Construction Consulting Center under the Ministry of Public Security (MPS) was also launched.

Deputy Minister of Public Security Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Son and Chairman of the Vietnam Association of Architects (VAA) Phan Dang Son attended the congress. Major General Le Van Long, Director of the Department of Construction Management and Barracks under the MPS chaired the event.

At the Congress, architect Pham Thanh Tung, Chief of the VAA Central Committee’s Office, announced the VAA’s decision on the establishment of the Public Security Architects’ Association.

According to the decision, the public security architects’ organization has 48 members who are architects working at the Department of Construction Management and Barracks and other agencies of the MPS.

The Public Security Architects’ Association which is now  a chapter of the VAA, will serve as a forum for architects inside and outside the forces to exchange professional experience and improve their expertise.

The Congress has adopted the Charter and working orientations of the Public Security Architects’ Association for the 2021-2026 term. Delegates at the Congress also elected a five-member Executive Board for the 2021-2026 term.

On the same day, the Department of Construction Management and Barracks held the ceremony to debut the MPS Construction Consulting Center. The center will provide construction investment consulting services and support the department in strengthening its State management over construction in the Public Security Forces in accordance with the laws and directions of the MPS.

Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Son and Chairman of the VAA Phan Dang Son affirmed that the introduction of the Construction Consulting Center and the establishment of the Public Security Architects’ Association are two significant events of the public security construction sector.

Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Son requested the Public Security Architects’ Association and the Construction Consulting Center to observe the relevant laws and regulations, continuously improve their professional status, apply modern scientific and technological achievements in the field of construction, and closely cooperate with other specialized organizations to gradually develop the center and the association.
