Public Security Communications and Information Department rolls out working plan for 2022

The Public Security Communications and Information Department on January 7 organized a conference to review its task performance in 2021 and to roll out its work plan for 2022.

Senior Lieutenant General Tran Quoc To, Member of the Party Central Committee and Deputy Minister of Public Security attended and delivered a keynote speech at the event. The event was chaired by Lieutenant General Mai Van Ha, Director of the Public Security Communications and Information Department. The event also saw the participation of leaders of departments under the Ministry of Public Security.

According to a report delivered by Major General Ma Duy Quan, Deputy Director of the Public Security Communications and Information Department, the development in 2021 has well performed its core tasks of disseminating Party and State’s policies, reflecting activities od the Public Security Forces and providing information about all aspects of life in accordance with the orientations and directions from the Party Central Committee’s Information and Education Commission, the Ministry of Information and Communications and the Ministry of Public Security.

The public security television, radio and newspapers have fully covered the 13th National Party Congress, elections of deputies to the 15th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels for the term of 2021-2026; the implementation of the Resolution of the 7th Public Security Party Congress; the achievements of the Public Security Forces in the fighting crimes, ensuring public order and security, and preventing and controlling COVID-19.

The press agencies under the Public Security Communications and Information Department also promptly published the guidelines from leaders of the Party, the State and the Ministry of Public Security on issues related to security and order and issues of public concern while actively and effectively struggling against wrong and hostile views, protecting the Party's ideological basis and improving the status of the forces.

The sector also worked closely with public security agencies and units nationwide to reflect activities and achievements of the Public Security Forces in various journalism platforms.

For the great results in 2021, the Public Security Newspaper has been awared the the First-class Labor Medal. The State President also decided to award the Second-class Labor Medal to the Public Security Publishing House while the Third-class Labor Medal was presented to the Public Security Television.

Many teams and individuals of the Public Security Communications and Information Department have been honored with noble awards and titles by the State, the Government and the Ministry of Public Security.

At the conference, under the authority of the Sate President, Deputy Minister Tran Quoc To awarded the Second-class Fatherland Protection Order to Senior Colonel Nguyen Quang Vinh, former Deputy Director of the Public Security Communications and Information Department; the Third-class Fatherland Protection Order to Senior Colonel Dang Lan Dung, Senior Colonel Nguyen Huu Phuc, former Deputy Director of the Public Security Communications and Information Department, and Senior Colonel Nguyen Van Thu, former Director of the Public Security Television.

Under the authority of the Prime Minister, the deputy minister presented the Certificates of Merit from the Prime Minister to the Public Security Newspaper, the Public Security Television and the Public Security Television’s Cinematography and Office of Directors.

Addressing the event, on behalf of the Public Security Central Party Committee and the leadership of the Ministry of Public Security, Deputy Minister Tran Quoc To praised the whole sector for its great achievements over the past time.

The Deputy Minister urged the sector to continue enhancing the capacity of public security reporters and editors and improving their knowledge of politics, professional expertise, and morality.

He asked the sector to effectively cover all activities of the Public Security Forces, focusing on good examples and good services, contributions and sacrifices of public security officers for the country.

Deputy Minister Tran Quoc To also emphasized, the sector should continue effectively participating in preventing and combating distorted information aiming at undermining the leadership of the Party, State, contributing to protecting the Party's ideology, promoting the people's belief in the revolutionary cause.

*At the  event, under the chair of Senior Colonel Pham Khai, Deputy Director of the Public Security Communications and Information Department and Editor in Chief of the Public Security Newspaper, delegates also discussed various measures to improve the quality of task accomplishment in the future.
