According to report at the event, in 2015 the Public Security Central Party Committee issued Resolution No. 26-NQ/DUCA on "Promoting the application and development of IT to serve the public security work in the new situation" and an action plan on implementing Resolution No. 36-NQ/TW dated July 1, 2014, on accelerating the application and development of IT in the Public Security Forces to meet the requirements of the country’s sustainable development and international integration.

In the last 7 years, the application and development of IT in the Public Security Forces has seen outstanding achievements, effectively serving the leadership, command system, administration services and combat duties of the forces.

In order to properly and fully assess the situation in recent years, as well as to orient the planning, development and effective application of IT in the forces in the coming time, the Public Security Central Party Committee issued a plan on organizing a conference to review the implementation of Resolution No. 26-NQ/DUCA.

On October 28, 2021, the Minister of Public Security signed and promulgated a decision to establish the Appraisal Council of the master plan for IT application and development in the Public Security Forces by 2025, with a vision to 2030.

According to the decision, Deputy Minister of Public Security Tran Quoc To is the Chairman of the council; while Major General Duong Van Tinh, Director of the Department of IT under the Ministry of Public Security holds the position of Vice Chairman of the council.

Over the past time, the Department of IT and involved units have seriously studied, discussed, drew up a detailed outline and developed a draft scheme according to their assigned functions and tasks.

The draft plan consists of five parts, including an overview of the current situation of IT application and development in the Public Security Forces, future situation forecasts, and contents of IT application and development in the forces by 2025, with a vision to 2030.

After that, the Department of IT sent the draft plan to all public security agencies and units for comments. All the comments were then taken into consideration seriously.

Speaking at the meeting, Deputy Minister Tran Quoc To emphasized that the Appraisal Council highly appreciates the sense of responsibility and effort of the units participating in the development of the draft plan on IT application and development in the Public Security Forces by 2025, with a vision to 2030.

According to Deputy Minister Tran Quoc To, the Appraisal Council basically agreed with the layout, domain and content of the draft plan.

Deputy Minister Tran Quoc To suggested the relevant units to make more effort and work seriously to complete the draft plan in accordance with the requirements set forth by the MPS leadership.
