Recently, the Women’s Union chapter of the Division of Party and Political Affairs under the Quang Nam Provincial Police Department in coordination with the Women’s Union of Tho Quang ward and the Tho Quang Ward Police Post organized social programs named “Accompanying women in the border areas” and “Supporting children to go to school” to help women and children in T’ram village, Axan commune, Tay Giang district.

T’ram village of Axan border commune is one of the remote border communes of Quang Nam province, home to 71 households of the Katu ethnic minority. People there still faced many difficulties in their daily lives. Visiting the commune, delegates presented gifts to two prestigious people, necessities to 50 women in difficult circumstances and school supplies to 50 children in the commune.

In addition, delegates also popularized legal regulations on preventing domestic violence, abuse of women and girls and cybercrime to local people, while deploying “free-of-charge goods booths” offering free necessities as well as free haircut to local people.

The social activity demonstrated the compassion and empathy of Quang Nam policewomen and local authorities for local families in difficult circumstances in border areas, contributing to effectively implementing the work of mass mobilization, strengthening the great unity bloc and tightening the relationship between people and armed forces, as well as encouraging people to actively participate in the “All people protecting national security” movement so as to maintain security and order in border areas.
