Vice Chairman of NA National Security and Defense Nguyen Minh Duc gets rank promotion
General To Lam, Politburo Member and Minister of Public Security, presided over a ceremony on November 11 to announce the State President’s decision to promote Vice Chairman of the National Assembly’s Council for National Defense and Security Nguyen Minh Duc to Lieutenant General from Major General.
The event also saw the presence of Deputy Ministers of Public Security, Lieutenant General Tran Quoc To, Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Son, Lieutenant General Luong Tam Quang, and representatives from various units under the Ministry of Public Security.
Under the authority of the State President, Minister To Lam handed the rank promotion decision and offered flowers to Lieutenant General Nguyen Minh Duc.
Minister To Lam emphasized that the promotion was the recognition and appreciation by the Party, State and people of Duc’s achievements at work over the past time.
It was the pride and honor of Duc himself and the Public Security Forces in general.
Minister To Lam hoped that Lieutenant General Nguyen Minh Duc would raise his sense of responsibility and do his best to fulfil all given tasks, making large contributions to ensuring national security, social order and safety, and building of the Public Security Forces.
Lieutenant General Nguyen Minh Duc expressed his gratitude to the Party, State, Government, National Assembly, the State President, the Minister of Public Security and the leadership of the ministry for great support over the past time, saying that the support had served as a driving force for him to successfully fulfill his duties and become a general-rank officer of the Public Security Forces.
