2020 spring calligraphy festival to open at Temple of Literature

• Students seek luck before exam at Temple of Literature
• Locals and tourists crowd Temple of Literature for calligraphic works

The spring calligraphy festival is an annual activity to promote the values of the Vietnamese fond-of-learning tradition and teacher-respecting tradition.

This year festival gathers 52 highly skilled calligraphers who provide kind words to visitors.

Apart from the 52 booths of the 52 calligraphers, there will be other booths introducing typical handicrafts of traditional craft villages, traditional foods, and folk games.

On this occasion, the organizers has also built the traditional learning space similar to the old scholars’ village and the old exam hall, along with demonstration of “Dó” paper-making technique, Quan ho Bac Ninh folk singing and Hue’s Royal court music.
