PSNews - The 2020 spring calligraphy festival will take place at Van Mieu- Quoc Tu Giam (Temple of Literature) from January 18 to February 2.
The spring calligraphy festival is an annual activity to promote the values of the Vietnamese fond-of-learning tradition and teacher-respecting tradition.
This year festival gathers 52 highly skilled calligraphers who provide kind words to visitors.
Apart from the 52 booths of the 52 calligraphers, there will be other booths introducing typical handicrafts of traditional craft villages, traditional foods, and folk games.
On this occasion, the organizers has also built the traditional learning space similar to the old scholars’ village and the old exam hall, along with demonstration of “Dó” paper-making technique, Quan ho Bac Ninh folk singing and Hue’s Royal court music.
There will also be a calligraphy exhibition named “Thanh Duc”, displaying 50 pieces of Sino-Vietnamese and Vietnamese alphabet calligraphy works.
