Cinema Department receives Decree by President Ho Chi Minh
The Decree 147/SL on the establishment of Vietnam Photograph and Cinema National Enterprise was signed by President Ho Chi Minh on March 15th, 1953 at the Palm Hill, in Dinh Hoa district, Thai Nguyen province. Since then, that day has been chosen as the traditional day of Vietnam's cinema industry.
Dang Thanh Tung, Head of the State Records Management and Archives Department of Vietnam shared that the agency preserves many documents regarding the history of the Department of Cinema’s establishment and development, especially original documents, photos and films showing President Ho Chi Minh’s care for the cinema.
At the meeting, Ngo Phuong Lan, Head of the Department of Cinema expressed delight at receiving the Decree on the occasion of the 65th anniversary of the cinema. Lan also presented a documentary film on 65 years of the Vietnam cinema sector to the State Records Management and Archives Department of Vietnam.
