Former Vietnamese experts who had worked in Cambodia donated around 60 keepsakes including the Golden Star Order, their noble award offered by the Vietnamese State and many pictures to the Vietnam Museum of Military History at a ceremony on January 7 in Hanoi.

The exhibits and their historical significance will help diversify the Vietnam Museum of Military History’s collection of artifacts, especially items relating to the southwestern border defense war and the joint struggle of three Indochinese countries for independence and freedom in each country.

These donated artifacts are expected to help visitors have a deeper insight into the impartial support of the Vietnamese Party, Government, people, and military for the Cambodian people in their struggle to overthrow the genocidal Pol Pot regime.

They will also help viewers understand more about the pure friendship and solidarity between Vietnam and Cambodia and noble deed of Vietnamese experts.

The keepsakes were donated on the occasion of the 42nd anniversary of the victory in the southwestern border defense war and the joint victory on January 7, 1979 of Vietnam and Cambodia over the Pol Pot genocidal regime.
