Online exhibition on "For the happiness of every person" opened

PSNews - The Ministry of Information and Communications in collaboration with the Quang Nam Provincial People's Committee and functional agencies on December 24 held a launching ceremony of a photo and archive exhibition and national achievements of ensuring and promoting human rights in Vietnam.

With the theme "For the happiness of every person", the exhibition aims to systematically collect, edit and annotate and translate generalized documents and photos about Vietnam's efforts and achievements in the work of protecting and promoting human rights. 

Speaking at the launching ceremony, Deputy Minister of Information and Communications Hoang Vinh Bao stated that, the exhibition aims to raise awareness of human rights among the people, State management agencies at all levels, corporate managers and especially the law enforcement agencies, provide official and objective information about the efforts and achievements on human rights in Vietnam, contributing to counteracting false information about the exercise of human rights in Vietnam.

200 photos and documents are annotated in Vietnamese and English according to the layout with four main themes including: Human right concept in Vietnam in several administrative documents carved in woodblocks of the Nguyen dynasty; Achievements of ensuring and promoting human rights in Vietnam from 1945 to now; Protection of human rights in context of COVID-19 pandemic and Quang Nam - Innovation and development and Quang Nam - Innovation and development. 

Specifically, theme 1 reflects human right concept in the Vietnamese feudal dynasties shows that Vietnam, depsite not being the birthplace of the term human rights, is rich in humane traditions and that the concept of human rights is closely associated with human love, tolerance and harmony. This group includes 30 documents and 94 photos selected from 34,618 woodblocks made in the Nguyen dynasty - the first documentary heritage of Vietnam recognized by UNESCO. 

Theme 2 shows documents about the period of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam and the Socialist Republic of Vietnam before Doi Moi period (1945 - 1986). 

Theme 3 affirms that, with the involvement of the entire political system, Vietnam has carried out a series of community health measures and ensured people's rights to health protection and care in medical emergencies based on the basic requirements of this right. 

Theme 4 introduces a dynamic and developing Quang Nam with historical values, cultural heritages and great strides in the general development of the country.
