Hanoi enters the list of 10 fastest growing tourism cities in the world
PSNews – Hanoi has been listed among the fastest growing tourism cities in the world, according to a report of Mastercard.

Based on its annual tourism growth rates in the period 2009-16, Hanoi’s tourism growth rate in 2017 has been estimated at 16.4 percent, ranking seventh on the list.
Additionally, Hanoi is highly appreciated as a city of beautiful and romantic landscape, rich cuisine, and various tourist services at a high quality and reasonable prices.
Another ASEAN city on the top-10 list is Jakarta, Indonesia (fifth). With the two cities in Southeast Asia ranked high on the list of the fastest tourism growth rate cities in the world, tourism is developed by regional countries as a spearhead economic sector and the region could become world’s new tourist hub.
Meanwhile, Osaka (Japan) with its tourism growth rate of 24% has topped the list.
The survey on 132 cities has found that the Asia-Pacific has taken the lead in terms of numbers of tourists and tourism revenues. Accordingly, the region’s tourism revenue reached US $91.16 billion in 2016, compared to $74.74 billion by Europe and $55.02 billion by North America.
