Hue ready for Hot Air Balloon Festival
PSNews - Hue authorities on April 9 said the 3rd Hue International Hot Air Balloon Festival will take place from April 27-29 in the central province of Thua Thien-Hue.

The event will see the performance of ten balloons which were designed with fancy shapes from Thailand, Malaysia, Japan, Korea,the Netherland, and host Vietnam.
Participating in the festival, visitors will have chance to enjoy a balloon ride to see Hue ancient capital city from a different perspective as well as performances put on by hot air balloons, and take photos with the colourful hot air balloons.
The festival, which is sponsored by Balloons Over Hue Co., Ltd, is expected to have a total estimated expenditure of 3 billion VND (129,000 USD), Radio the Voice of Vietnam reported.
Thua Thien-Hue aims to attract about 4.7 million visitors in 2019 with 45% being foreigners, a rise of about 7% year on year.
The province, owning many UNESCO-recognised tangible and intangible heritages as well as beautiful beaches, targets 4.9 trillion VND (210.7 million USD) in tourism revenue in the year, up 10% compared to the previous year.
In 2018, Thua Thien-Hue welcomed more than 4.3 million visitors, a rise of 14%, with the number of foreign visitors rising 30%. Tourism revenue reached 4.47 trillion VND, up 27.1% compared to 2017. Notably, the locality was chosen as one of the most attractive destinations of Vietnam.
