The Sales Mission aims to improve networking and business contact between Indonesian sellers and Vietnamese buyers,  so it is expected to have an impact on increasing sales of Indonesian tourism packages in Vietnam.

In this sales mission, the Ministry is collaborating with the Indonesian Embassy in Hanoi and the Indonesian Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh City to promote top priority destinations in Indonesia that includes North Sumatra, Batam, Bali, Yogyakarta, East Java and West Java to increase foreign tourist arrivals (tourists) especially  Vietnamese.

The Ministry is targeting as many as 123,000 foreign tourists from Vietnam who entered Indonesia throughout 2019.

Vietnam is the fastest inbound country in Southeast Asia, growing more than 25% or exceeding the average growth of foreign and global tourist arrivals to Indonesia. In addition, there was an extraordinary growth of Vietnam's outbound totaling 9,772,250 in 2018, of which the figure has not reached 1% of Vietnam's market share to Indonesia.

The number of arrivals of Vietnamese tourists to Indonesia was recorded at 75,632 in 2018. That’s way this is an excellent opportunity to continue to increase promotion in Vietnam.
