About 150 young students attend Vietnam Robot contest
Nearly 150 elementary and junior high school students participated in the 2018 International Youth Robotic Competition, which took place in Ho Chi Minh City on August 5.

The contenders were selected from competitions at province and city levels held in April and May this year. They competed in seven events of computer language programming and robot control.
The top places were mainly won by students from schools in HCM City and Hanoi.
In the individual category, Ngo Tran Hung Anh and Le Linh Nghi triumphed in Recycling and Forest Rescue events, respectively.
Meanwhile, among the groups, the team of Nguyen Phan Nhat Nam and Nguyen Huu Duc took the first place in the Bridge of Friendship.
Nguyen Minh Khang and Le Kim Minh Nhat topped the Ocean Rescue event while Nguyen Khang, Phan Tuan Chi and Ho Vu Thien Binh seized victory in Football.
Ly Nguyen Bach Duong, Ho Chi Thong, Le Linh Nghi and Nguyen Hoang Bach claimed top spot in Creativity among elementary students while Hoang Trung Kien, Nguyen Ngoc Dung and Nguyen Tuan Thanh won the category for middle school students.
Duong Thi Chi Mai from the organising board said the competition aims to create a playground for students who have passion for science-technology, particularly in programming and robot creation.
Winners of the contest will receive support to attend the 2018 IYRC, which is slated for November in Thailand.
