Anti-corruption hotline receives 56 corruption reports during Tet

PSNews – The Anti-Corruption Department under the Governmental Inspectorate recently said that during the Tet holiday, the national anti-corruption hotline received 56 reports and complaints on corruption nationwide.

The department then said it has scrutinized the reports and found 23 cases with evident signs of violation of Directive 11 of the Party Central Committee's Secretariat, of Directive No. 33 by the Government and the Prime Minister's Decision No. 64 on Giving and Receiving Gifts.

“Of the 23 cases, 19 minor ones have been transferred to the heads of agencies and localities to inspect and resettle, while the Anti-Corruption Department will directly carry out inspections in 4 other cases,” the Department said.

The Anti-Corruption Department added that 33 remaining reports possibly relating to corruption will also be submitted to the Chief of the Vietnam Governmental Inspectorate for further instructions.
