The Investigation Police Department under the Ministry of Public Security has just arrested the General Director of the Euro Auto Joint Stock Company (Euro Auto) on April 26.

The Investigation Police Department of Economic Crimes and Corruption (C46) arrested General Director of Euro Auto Nguyen Dang Thao and 2 other suspects working for this company.
Four months ago, Euro Auto was prosecuted for using fake documents such as sales contracts and commercial invoices to import BMW cars.
In addition, this company was also investigated for selling imported BMWs without the approval by local customs authorities. Euro Auto was also unable to provide the Certificate of Origin of their imported BMW cars or other relevant documents.
On February 21, the BMW Group of Germany confirmed that some documents of Euro Auto were not issued by BMW AG.
