A ceremony to receive 16 sets of remains of Vietnamese volunteer soldiers and experts who laid down their lives in Cambodia during wartime, was held at Le Thanh International Border Gate in the Central Highlands province of Gia Lai on April 3.

The event was organised by the provincial Steering Committee for Search and Repatriation of Remains of Fallen Soldiers (Steering Committee 515).

The remains have been found by the province’s search team (K52 team) in Cambodia's northeast provinces of Rattanakiri, Preah Vihear, and Stung Treng.

This is the 20th round of search and repatriation that has been implemented by the team, bringing the total sets of remains of Vietnamese volunteer soldiers and experts found and repatriated from the neighbouring country to 1,428.
