Hanoi gears up for second DPRK-USA Summit

• PM inspects preparations for DPRK-USA Summit
• Int’l media centre ready for US-DPRK summit
• DPRK Chairman’s train arrives in China en route to Vietnam

Chairman of the Hanoi People’s Committee Nguyen Duc Chung  gives a speech the meeting.

The information was released at a February 24 meeting between the People’s Committee of Hanoi and departments, agencies and localities involving in the preparatory work.

In his remarks, Chairman of the municipal People’s Committee Nguyen Duc Chung asked each resident should serve as an ambassador to promote the images of a friendly and hospitable Hanoi – the City for Peace.

The summit is seen as an opportune occasion for the capital city to extend a message that Vietnam is an ideal destination for international visitors, Chung said.

The municipal leader also underlined comprehensive measures to ensure top security for the event, whilst assuring Hanoi's readiness to offer the best possible conditions for media agencies to cover news stories about the event, he added.

The same day, Chung and Deputy Minister of Public Security Bui Van Nam inspected final preparations at the International Media Centre in Hanoi.
