Man arrested for mugging taxi driver

PSNews – After hours tracking the subject in a taxi robbery based on collected information, the Binh Duong Police on January 8 arrested a man named Nguyen Huynh Khuong Linh, accused of robbing the taxi driver.

According to the Binh Duong Police, at around 19h on January 7, Nguyen Huynh Khuong Linh called Vinasun taxi firm. Later, a Vinasun taxi driven by Pham Anh Tuan picked him up on road D33, in the area of the VSIP 1 in Thuan An Town.

Linh then asked the taxi driver to take him to Kim Hang Gas Station in Long Binh street, KhanhBinh ward, Tan Uyen town.

Upon the arrival in the requested place, Linh pretended to forget the address and asked the taxi driver to run around.

At 20h the same day, while the victim pulled over his car at house No. 91/1, the DH406 street, Linh from the car’s backseat suddenly put a knife on the driver’s neck, asking for money.

The victim was struggling against Linh and had several deep cuts on his neck and arms but still managed to escape from the car and called for help.

In this situation, Linh tried to start the car to flee away but his attempt was unsuccessful. He then left the car and ran away.

Reported on the case, the Tan Uyen Town Police immediately arrived at the scene to take the victim to hospital and to collect information and to track the suspect.

After hours chasing the suspect, the Tan Uyen Town Police found him hiding in a motel.

At the investigation agency, Linh admitted his guilt.
