National film festival on traffic safety 2017 concludes with 25 works honored

The ceremony was attended by Deputy Minister of Transport Nguyen Nhat, Vice Chairman of the National Traffic Safety Committee Khuat Viet Hung; Major General Tran Son Ha, Director of the Traffic Police Department and leaders of the relevant units and the winners.

From the total 142 entries (including 75 short films, 9 science fiction films, 58 short clips of TVC), the organizers have selected 25 best works, including 3 First Prizes, 6 Second Prizes, 9 Third Prizes and 7 Consolation Prizes.
The national film festival on traffic safety, initiated by the Traffic Police Department, is organized by the National Traffic Safety Committee in collaboration with the Traffic Police Department in every two years, starting from 1996.
This year’s film festival, the 10th of this kind, aims to popularize the traffic law to all people, improving people's awareness and knowledge of traffic safety.

According to the organizers, the entries for this year's festival were closely attached to the topic while reflecting the realities in an authentic but artistic way, leaving good deep lessons to audiences. They will serve as good materials to popularize the traffic law to all people, especially young ones, and encourage them to follow the traffic safety rules.
Speaking at the event, Senior Colonel Le Xuan Duc, Deputy Director of the Traffic Police Department emphasized that the traffic police force will always accompany with young people on “a safe journey - a journey toward a bright future”.
According to the plan, the winner movies of this year's festival will be spread widely in the country’s mass media.
