The Hanoi’s Fire Police Department on August 22 announced that 892 karaoke bars in the capital city have been temporally closed due to their violation of the fire safety regulations.
According to the Hanoi’s Fire Police Department, the Hanoi Municipal People’s Committee had earlier issued Official Document No. 3317 / UBND-NC on the implementation of the guidance of the Standing Commission of the Hanoi Municipal Party Committee on enhancing fire safety at karaoke bars in the city.
The city’s fire police coordinated with relevant municipal agencies and district-level authorities to inspect the current situation of the implementation of the regulations on fire prevention and fighting of local business establishments, particularly karaoke bars, nightclubs and dance halls.
Most of the businesses, which have been closed due to their violations of the fire safety regulations, are located in Thach That, Soc Son, Me Linh Dong Da, Hai Ba Trung districts. Especially, De La Thanh street of Dong Da district has 9 karaoke bars closed.
