Program held to promote Vietnam’s tourism in Japan. |
The program, which is part of the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism’s promotion program for 2019, provides an opportunity for participants to introduce Vietnam’s tourist sites, products and services as well as the country’s updated policies on tourism to people and businesses in the host country.
It aims to advertise the land and people of Vietnam to international friends and facilitate the cooperation between travel companies of the two countries. Japan has been a key market for the Vietnamese tourism sector.
In 2018, Vietnam welcomed around 826,000 Japanese travellers. The exchange of tourists between the two countries is predicted to reach 1.5 million arrivals by 2020.
Vietnam welcomed 11.3 million international tourists in the first eight months of 2019, a year-on-year rise of 8.7 percent. The country aims to serve 17.5-18 million foreign arrivals and 85 million domestic ones this year.
