Quang Binh plans to finish compensation payment to environmental victims by February

As of February 19, Quang Binh has allocated 1,922 billion VND of compensation to environmental victims in 56 out of the 62 maritime pollution affected communes, equivalent to 83% of the initial total declaration.
Quang Binh province also paid 11 billion VND of support for 18 out of the 25 local seafood traders, who were also proposed to get total compensation of some 19 billion VND for the destruction of their 2,505 tons of inventory seafood.
Leaders of Quang Binh province asked all localities to continue implementing Decision 1880/QD-TTG by the Prime Minister, so as to complete the payment for the province’s environmental victims by February 25.
The loss statement and payment processes, according to the province, have been carried out promptly, openly and transparently at all levels, contributing to building high consensus among people and to ensuring security and order in the province.
