Various joint projects of the two sides have gained fine outcomes and laid grounds for further cooperation in the future.
Since Vietnam became a signatory of the UN Convention against Corruption, the UNODC has assisted the Government Inspectorate in both expertise and finance. Recently, on the occasion of the APEC Year 2017, the UNODC supported the Government Inspectorate of Vietnam to hold a successful workshop themed “Enhancing Social Participation in Anti-corruption” on the sidelines of the first Officials Meeting (SOM 1) and Seminar themed “Strengthening the cooperation between law enforcement agencies to enhance recovery of property” on the sideline of the SOM 3. Its great support contributed significantly to the Government Inspectorate of Vietnam’s success in completing its role as the Chair of the Working Group on Anti-corruption, and received a lot of praises from international friends and partners.
