Winners of press awards on poverty reduction honored

PSNews – The Ministry of Information and Communications in collaboration with the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs to organize a ceremony to honor the winners of the First Press Award on Poverty Reduction of period 2016 – 2020, on October 12. 

Deputy Prime Minister Vuong Dinh Hue honors winning individuals and teams

Deputy Prime Minister Vuong Dinh Hue attended the event and presented awards to the winners.

According to the organizers,by October 9, 2017, over 300 press pieces of various kinds by individuals and teams had been sent to the organizing board. After the preliminary round, 84 outstanding works were chosen to the final round.

Deputy PM Vuong Dinh Hue highly appreciated the enthusiasm of the participating journalists and congratulated the winners.

The Deputy PM said that the press contest had contributed to raising the awareness and responsibility of the people and authorities at various levels in implementing the guidelines, policies and programs in poverty reduction; and encouraging the society to participate in poverty reduction, as well as inciting the poor to surmount all difficulties and reduce poverty.

The Deputy PM hoped that all  journalists and press agencies would continue to participate and support the contes tin the coming years, to join hands with the government, branches and the people to achieve the goals of sustainable poverty reduction set by resolutions of the Party, National Assembly and Government.
