State President Tran Dai Quang welcomes RoK President Moon Jae-in

State President Tran Dai Quang chaired the red-carpet welcome ceremony of RoK President Moon Jae-in at the Presidential Palace in Hanoi on the morning of March 23.

 RoK President Moon Jae-in and his spouse are on a three-day State visit to Vietnam on March 22-24 at the invitation of President Tran Dai Quang.

 This is the first official visit to Vietnam by President Moon Jae-in, aiming to promote the Vietnam-RoK Strategic Cooperative Partnership.
 The RoK is one of Vietnam’s leading economic partners.
 The two Presidents review the guards of honour.
The two countries’ relationship has developed robustly over the years. The Republic of Korea is Vietnam’s biggest investor with a total investment of more than US$52 billion and Vietnam’s second largest provider of official development assistance (ODA) which focuses on administration, education, water management, and infrastructure.

The two Presidents witnessed the signing of various important cooperation agreements between the two countries.
