Speaking at the event, head of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee’s Commission for Information and Education Vo Van Thuong presented a general overview of Vietnam’s 30 years of renewal, from important orientations to guidelines and policies, to great achievements and overall experience.
In order to achieve the goal of “wealthy people, strong country, democracy, fairness, and civilisation”, the Communist Party of Vietnam has approached reform in a comprehensive and synchronous manner, placing economic reform and development as a central task, party-building as crucial, building culture as a spiritual foundation, strengthening national defence-security as a crucial and regular task, and socio-political stability as a prerequisite for reform and development.
The head of the Publicity Department at the Communist Party of China’s Central Committee, Huang Kunming, recalled the historic achievements of China’s 40-year reform, saying that socialism with Chinese characteristics has been the theme of reform theory and actualities in the country so far.
He highlighted several lessons, both in theory and realities, on the process of open-door policy reform, especially rule-based perceptions regarding the building and refinement of socialis market economy institutions and fuelling prosperity in China.
Both sides shared their experiences on the causes of socialism and party building, socio-economic and cultural development, external relations work, and global integration.
