PSNews-The General Department of Public Security Politics (G.D 3) on June 12 held a meeting to re-examine and accept the study “Vietnam’s Police History, Part 2 (1946-1954)”.

Lieutenant General Nguyen Xuan Muoi, Deputy Director of G.D 3, chaired the event.

During scientific research and development of the project, the researchers have successfully inherited previous works, especially the first Draft History of the Vietnam’s People’s Police to develop the study under the principle of selectively using newly collected materials.

The layout of this draft has been adapted the force’s development stages to the fight of the Vietnam’s Police forces against French colonialists in the national resistance war.

Speaking at the meeting, Lieutenant General Nguyen Xuan Muoi affirmed the necessity, scientific and practical significance of the project, concluding that the participants in the meeting actively exchanged their ideas and opinions on the project, highly valued it and accepted it though asking the authors to clarify and thoroughly explain some issues in the study.

The scientific project is to compile historical facts of the Vietnam People’s Police during the war against French colonialists into an official historical document of the force so as to educate the force’s glorious traditions for young generations of the current Vietnam Public Security Forces.

In addition to its historical and scientific significance, the results of the project also provide the basis for the compilation of other historical works and historical textbooks on the Public Security Forces as well as the history of Vietnam.

The Scientific Project Acceptance Council gave the excellent grade to the ministerial-level project “Vietnam’s Police History, Part II 1946-1954”, by vote.
