“All people protecting national security” movement reviewed

PSNews - On this occasion, the Ministry of Public Security presented medals to 7 excellent leaders of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and the supporting team of the Steering Committee. 

The Ministry of Public Security held a conference to review the implementation of the “All people protecting national security” movement and the mass mobilization program in 2016.

In 2016, the Public Security Forces at all levels in collaboration with the Vietnam Fatherland Front and the Mass Mobilization Department advised the Steering Committee to step up the implementation of the tasks.

62 out of 63 local authorities have so far completed the programme "Prevention of crimes and social evils", under the "All people protecting national security" movement.

Addressing the conference, Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Son, Deputy Minister of Public Security recognized and praised positive outcomes of the Steering Committee in the past year. However, the Steering Committee should urgently review the deployed working models so as to promptly multiply good models and rule out unsuitable models.

In 2017, the Department for All-People Security Protection Movement and relevant agencies should effectively implement new programmes in line with the Resolution of the 4th Meeting of the Party Central Committee of the 12th Party Congress, innovate approaches and working methods, as well as raise public awareness of protecting social order.
