CAND Newspaper and partner support poor people in Thua Thien – Hue

PSNews – A charitable and social mission of the Public Security (CAND) Newspaper and Carlsberg Vietnam have presented 1,200 gifts to various needy people in Thua Thien Hue.

Vinh Giang commune (Phu Loc, Thua Thien – Hue) is home to over 1,200 households, with some 5,200 residents, including 300 policy families, 150 poor households and many families of children exposed to Agent Orange (dioxin), says Mai Anh Tuan, Chairman of the People’s Committee of Vinh Giang.

At the meeting between the mission and local people, Tuan expressed his gratitude to the CAND Newspaper and Carlsberg Vietnam for their donations and sentiments.

Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Van Long, Deputy Head of the Editing Office, Chief of the Representative Office of the CAND Newspaper in Central Vietnam, said that the CAND Newspaper has actively carried out charitable activities in the past several years, supporting people affected by natural disasters, and needy people on national anniversaries and Tet.

Carlsberg Vietnam in collaboration with the CAND Newspaper has donated some 7,000 Tet gifts to needy people in the Central provinces of Quang Nam, Da Nang, Thua Thien – Hue, Quang tri, Quang Binh, Ha Tinh and Nghe An, said Ms. Truong Thi Thu Dung, a representative of Carlsberg Vietnam.
