CAND Newspaper carries out gratitude activity in Quang Tri

PSNews -Within the framework of the roots-returning trip to Quang Binh and Quang Tri, the delegation of the Public Security (CAND) Newspaper led by Major General Pham Van Mien, the newspaper's Editor-in-Chief in collaboration with the Quang Tri Provincial Police on April 14 visited and presented gifts to needy people in Quang Tri.

Speaking at the event, Senior Colonel Nguyen Duc Cam, Deputy Director of the Quang Binh Provincial Police Department stated that the roots-returning trip of the CAND Newspaper was a meaningful activity.

He said, although the gift itself was small, but the activity showed the empathy of CAND Newspaper for Quang Tri people and its gratitude to families of public security fallen and wounded officers, who have sacrificed their blood and bone for national independence.

At the event, Major General Pham Van Mien and Senior Colonel Nguyen Duc Cam presented 10 packs of gifts to families of public security fallen and wounded officers and to former volunteer youths in Quang Tri.

On same day, the working mission also visited the Quang Binh Provincial Police and held several cultural exchanges and sports activities with the local police force at Bao Ninh Beach (Dong Hoi City, Quang Binh Province). The activities further strengthened the close relations between the CAND Newspaper and Quang Binh Provincial Police.

The 2018 roots-returning trip to Quang Binh and Quang Tri of the CAND Newspaper was an opportunity for generations of public security journalists to pay tribute to heroic martyrs, who have made great contributions to the cause of national liberation and defense. 

It also helped improve the political stance among officers and journalists of the CAND Newspaper as well as heighten their sense of responsibility for their assigned tasks.
