CAND Newspaper visits Tran Van Thoi District Police

PSNews – A working delegation of the Public Security (CAND) Newspaper’s representative office in Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC) led by Senior Colonel Tran Kim Tham, the newspaper’s Deputy Editor-in-Chief, on April 13 and 14 held a roots-returning tour and presented gifts to people in Ca Mau province.

As part of the tour, on April 13, the 20-member delegation held a meeting with the Tran Van Thoi District Police.

At the meeting, Senior Colonel Duong Quoc Khanh, Head of the Tran Van Thoi District Police, Ca Mau province briefed the delegation on the structure and task performance of the local police force over the past time.

He said, with its achievements in both wartime and peacetime, in 1997, the Tran Van Thoi District Police was awarded the title “Hero of the People's Armed Forces" by the State.

Addressing at the meeting, on behalf of the visiting delegation of the CAND Newspaper, Senior Colonel Tran Kim Tham said that the roots-returning tour aimed to commemorate the 70th anniversary of Uncle Ho’s sending the 6 teachings to the Public Security Forces (March 11, 1948-2018), 70th anniversary of Uncle Ho’s Call for Patriotic Emulation (June 11, 1948-2018), 43rd anniversary of Southern Vietnam’s liberation and Reunification Day (April 30, 1975-2018).

Senior Colonel Tran Kim Tham also briefed the hosts on the CAND Newspaper’s publications, functions and missions.

Senior Colonel Tran Kim Tham expressed his hope that the CAND Newspaper and the police unit would strengthen cooperation, and that the newspaper receive more support, news and information about the local security and order situation from the local police force.

Speaking at the meeting, Senior Colonel Phan Vu Lam, Head of the PX15 Division of the Ca Mau Provincial Police expressed his joy at welcoming and working with the CAND Newspaper delegation.

He highly appreciated the work of the CAND Newspaper in reflecting activities of the Ca Mau Police Force, and hoped that the CAND Newspaper would continue covering task performances of the Ca Mau Police force, particularly victories and outstanding examples of the Ca Mau provincial police force in general and the Tran Van Thoi district police force in particular.

He also affirmed that the Ca Mau Police Department will strengthen cooperation with the newspaper in sending more news and information to it in the future.

On the occasion, the CAND Newspaper delegation also presented some meaningful gifts to the PX15 Division of the Ca Mau Provincial Police and the Tran Van Thoi District Police.
