CAND Newspaper meets its contributors in Central Vietnam

PSNews – The Public Security (CAND) Newspaper in January held a meeting with its contributors in Central Vietnam on the occasion of the New Year 2020. 

The meeting saw the presences of Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Son, Deputy Minister of Public Security; Lieutenant General Mai Van Ha, Director of the Department of Public Security Information and Communications;

Lieutenant General Le Ngoc Lam, former Deputy Director of the Public Security General Department of Politics; Mr. Le TrungChinh, Vice Chairman of the Da Nang Municipal People’s Committee; Major General Vu XuanVien, Director of the Da Nang Municipal Police Department.

The event also saw the presence of Major General Pham Van Mien, Editor-in-Chief of the CAND Newspaper, the Board of Editors of the CAND Newspaper, and leaders of the CAND Newspaper representative offices as well as contributors.

Speaking at the event, Major General Pham Van Mien extended thanks to the local authorities as well as the police units in Central provinces and cities for their supports, as well as its local contributors for their good and effective collaboration with the CAND Newspaper in the past time.

According to Major General Pham Van Mien, in 2019, under the leadership of the Public Security Central Party Committee and the Ministry of Public Security, the CAND Newspaper successfully fulfilled its tasks of disseminating the Party’s policies, laws of the State. The newspaper’s performance was highly appreciated by the Central Commission for Information and Education, the Ministry of Information and Communications, and the Ministry of Public Security. The newspaper also won big prizes at national- , ministerial- and local- level press contests.

Additionally, the CAND Newspaper mobilized businesses, organizations and individuals to raise more than 15 billion VND along with valuable assets for needy people and students throughout the country.

Speaking at the event, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Son praised and congratulated the CAND Newspaper on the outstanding results of its task performance last year.

He also highly appreciated the important contribution of CAND Newspaper to the cultural ideological front, saying that the newspaper successfully completed the political tasks assigned by the Public Security Central Party Committee and the Ministry of Public Security.

In 2020, the Deputy Minister urged the CAND Newspaper in particular and the Public Security Department of Information and Communications in general to continue to promote their vanguard roles in disseminating policies of the Party and the State, working plans of the Ministry of Public Security, to deserve to be the “mouthpiece” of the Public Security Central Party Committee and the Ministry of Public Security.

On behalf of the Party Committee, the Board of Editors and officers, reporters and officials of the CAND Newspaper, Major General Pham Van Mien once again thanked the Ministry of Public Security, local authorities and local contributors for their great effective supports for the newspaper in the past time. He affirmed that the CAND Newspaper will continue to improve itself to successfully fulfill assigned tasks.

At the meeting, Director of the Da Nang Municipal Police Department and representatives from the police departments of Quang Tri, ThuaThien Hue, Quang Nam, Quang Ngai also presented Certificates of Merits to CAND Newspaper’s reporters in charge of the Central region for their contributions and achievements in disseminating information, fighting against crimes and conducting charitable activities.
