DSI holds its first Party Congress

Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Son, Member of the Public Security Central Party Committee (PSCPC) and Deputy Minister of Public Security, on July 20 attended and delivered a speech at the first Party Congress of the Department of Security Industry (DSI) for the 2020 - 2025 term.

According to the political report delivered at the event, the DSI’s Party organization was established in 2018 based on the merger of the Party organization of the Department of Security Industry & Enterprise Management and the Party organizations of seven companies under the direct management of the Ministry of Public Security (MPS).

In the period of 2018-2020, under the leadership of the PSCPC and the MPS, the DSI’s Party Committee paid great attention to directing the department to promote its State management over security industry, non-profit units and production establishments of the People's Public Security Forces, following the motto "Proactive, Exemplary, Disciplined, Responsible and Effective".

During the period, the security industry actively researched, developed and produced a number of equipment and combat gears, serving the operation of the Public Security Forces and contributing to ensuring national security, and social order in the new situation.

Speaking at the Congress, on behalf of the PSCPC, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Son spoke highly of the efforts and achievements made by the DSI’s Party organization over the last time.

Regarding its tasks in the coming time, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Son requested the DSI’s Party organization to strictly follow the instructions, resolutions and guidelines of the Party Central Committee and the PSCPC regarding safeguarding national security, ensuring social order and safety, and building the Public Security Forces, with a focus on implementing Resolution No. 51 on "National security protection strategy".

He also asked the DSI’s Party organization to further develop public security enterprises so as to promote the security industry and ensure logistics and technical supplies for the Public Security Forces while expanding international cooperation in security industry, as well as researching and developing high-end technologies or promote technology transfer from developed countries to make high-quality products for the Public Security Forces.
