Da Nang Police Newspaper celebrates 30th Anniversary
PSNews-On August 12, the Da Nang Police Newspaper celebrates the 30th Anniversary of its first publication (August 17, 1987).
The event was attended by Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Son, Deputy Minister of Public Security, Lieutenant General Le Van De, Deputy Director of the General Department of Politics (G.D 3), delegates from the Journalists’ Association of Vietnam, leaders of Da Nang, the city’s Police Department and other relevant agencies.
On behalf of the newspaper, Senior Colonel Nguyen Hai Thuan briefed the delegates on historical stages of development of the Da Nang Police Newspaper.
The year of 2007 has also marked the debut of cadnonline.com.vn, the online edition of the Da Nang Police Newspaper, to meet the demand of readers, and disseminate laws, making contribution to maintaining security and social order, national construction and protection. To date, the Da Nang Police Newspaper has released more than 5,000 issues of more than 120 million copies, becoming a familiar publication with many people in Da Nang, Quang Nam, the Central Highlands and the whole country.
Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Son congratulated the Da Nang Public Security Newspaper on its achievements, stressing that the newspaper has experienced ups and downs but obtained very glorious achievements during its 30 years of development.
Over the past 30 years, the newspaper has always followed the directions from the MPS, leaders of Da Nang and the city’s police.
The newspaper has also encouraged local policemen’s spirit in fighting crimes as well as the building of the police forces in Da Nang and other provinces in the region.
The Da Nang Police Newspaper is considered a reliable address for poor and unlucky people. Over the past time, the newspaper has mobilized generous donors to contribute some VND 72 billion to building over 300 houses of gratitude and presenting thousands gifts to needy people and victims of natural disasters.
On this occasion, the Da Nang Police Newspaper was awarded a flag by the Chairman of the Municipal People's Committee, in acknowledgement of its contribution to the city’s construction and development. A number of reporters and workers of the newspaper were also honored and awarded certificates of merit by the Director of the Da Nang Municipal Police.
