Department of Party and Political Work reviews performance of tasks
PSNews – The Department of Party and Political Work under the Ministry of Public Security (MPS) on July 17 held a conference to review its implementation of the “For National Security” movement in the period of 2015-2020 and its task performance in the first half of 2020.

Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Thanh, member of the Central Party Committee, Deputy Minister of Public Security, chaired the event.
At the event, Major General Nguyen Ngoc Toan, Director of the Department of Party and Political Work briefed delegates on the results of the Public Security Conference in the first 6 months of 2020.
According to the report on the “For National Security” movement in the period of 2015-2020, over the last 5 years, especially since the establishment of the new unit in 2018, the Party Committee and leaders of the Department have advised the leadership of the Ministry of Public Security on Party and political affairs, and directed the whole Public Security Forces to carry out the movement in a creative manner.
The unit also advised the Public Security Central Party Committee and leaders of the MPS to issue important guidelines and solutions on Party and political work in the Public Security Forces.
In the first 6 months of 2020, the Department of Party and Political Work issued instructions on Party and political work, as well as mass organization operation suitable for the COVID-19 epidemic situation.
Speaking at the event, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Thanh asked the Party Committee and leaders of the Department of Party and Political Work to further promote the emulation movement in the period of 2020-2025, focusing on Directive No. 34 of the Politburo on new emulation and reward work.
The Deputy Minister also urged the Department to well prepare for the 8th Festival “For National Security” in 2020.
Regarding the working plan for the remaining months of 2020, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Thanh asked the Department of Party and Political Work to actively advise higher leaders on activities to celebrate the 75th Traditional Day of the Public Security Forces, and the 15th “All people protecting national security” Festive Day.
