Deputy Minister Bui Van Nam pays Christmas visit to Hue Archbishop

PSNews – Senior Lieutenant General Bui Van Nam, leading a high-ranking delegation of the Ministry of Public Security, recently visited the Hue Archbishop on the occasion of the Christmas Day.

Deputy Minister Bui Van Nam present flowers to congratulate Archbishop of the Hue Archdiocese Giuse Nguyen Chi Linh and all local priests, religious dignitaries and parishioners.

On behalf of the leaders of the Ministry of Public Security, Deputy Minister Bui Van Nam wished President of the Vietnam Bishops' Council and Archbishop of the Hue Archdiocese Giuse Nguyen Chi Linh and all local priests, religious dignitaries and parishioners a merry Christmas season.

Speaking at the event, Deputy Minister Bui Van Nam appreciated the role of priests and religious dignitaries of the Archdiocese of Hue in strengthening the national unity bloc and spoke highly of positive contributions of the diocese to implementing national patriotic emulation movements and social activities.

He praised their role in the fight of the disease COVID-19 and in helping locals overcome consequences of the recent natural disasters.

According to Deputy Minister Bui Van Nam, over the past time, many parishes, dignitaries and parishioners of the archdiocese of Hue have set good examples in implementing the movement of “All people protecting National security”, contributing to ensuring security in the locality.

For his part, President of the Vietnam Bishops' Council, Archbishop of the Hue Archdiocese, Giuse Nguyen Chi Linh thanked Deputy Minister Bui Van Nam and the leadership for their care for the archdiocese.

Giuse Nguyen Chi Linh pledged along with other religious dignitaries and parishioners to act as good citizens while actively contributing to local economic development and maintenance of security and order.
