The Department of Cyber Security and Hi-tech Crime Prevention and the Hanoi Municipal Police Department on May 22 successfully broke down a large-scale online gambling network named "No hu", arresting 15 suspects and seizing 7 computers, 8 CPUs, 4 cars as well as many important exhibits. As reported, this illegal online gambling network had millions of user-accounts with the transaction amount of up to VND 64 trillion.
The success in annihilating the gambling network has demonstrated the resolute spirit of fighting against crimes, and the effective collaboration among professional units under the Ministry of Public Security and local police units, contributing to preventing crimes and stabilizing public order and security. It has also left positive impacts on society and promoted the contribution of the public security forces to the nation.
On behalf of the Public Security Central Party Committee and leaders of the Ministry of Public Security, Deputy Minister Bui Van Nam praised the participating units under the Department of Cyber Security and Hi-tech Crime Prevention and the Hanoi Municipal Police Department.
