Deputy Minister Bui Van Nam works with TraVinh Police

PSNews – Senior Lieutenant General Bui Van Nam, Deputy Minister of Public Security led a delegation of the Ministry of Public Security (MPS) to work with the Tra Vinh Provincial Police.

Senior Colonel Le Van Viet, Director of the Tra Vinh Provincial Police briefed the working delegation on the outcomes of the provincial police’s task implementation since the beginning of 2017.

Particularly, the provincial police successfully investigated 318 out of 340 cases and arrested 464 suspects. Notably, the local police force investigated and solved 100% of the serious and specially serious cases while opening 12 expertise-intensive cases, arresting and prosecuting 75 suspects.

Traffic accidents have been curbed in  terms of numbers of cases, deaths and injuries. The movement of “All people protecting national security” has been expanded.

So far, regular forces have been deployed to 25 out of the 45 communes and towns in Tra Vinh, creating positive changes in the local security and order situation.

Deputy Minister Bui Van Nam acknowledged and praised the results of the Tra Vinh Provincial Police.

Additionally, he also extended his thanks to the Provincial Party Committee, People’s Committee of Tra Vinh for their sound leadership and care for the local police force.

The Deputy Minister also highlighted several important tasks and asked the provincial police to recognize all challenges and difficulties in the current situation and perform better their role in advising the local authorities on security and social order issues.

He also asked TraVinh province's police to continue to promote Party building work, political and ideological education for soldiers in association with the movement of “Building the police officer's manners of bravery, humanity and devotedness to the people.”

The provincial police was also requested to further renovation and enhance the efficiency of their function of state management on security and order while bolstering their relations and cooperation with other forces, including the People’s Army, the Border Guard force and relevant agencies to ensure security and order.
