Deputy Minister Luong Tam Quang attends Party Congress of Homeland Security Department

Lieutenant General Luong Tam Quang, Deputy Minister of Public Security, attended the first Congress for the 2020-2025 term of the Party organization of the Department for Homeland Security, on August 11.

In the last term, the Party organization of the Department overcame all difficulties and successfully fulfilled its political tasks, actively preventing, detecting and defeating all plots and acts of sabotage by hostile forces, terrorists while ensuring religion, ethnicity and social security.

It also achieved good results of the Party and force building work. as the Party organization also strengthened its leadership over logistic services for the force’s operations, meeting its task requirements in the new situation.

For its achievements, the Department was presented with the Emulation Flag by the Ministry in 2018 and the Emulation Flag by the Government in 2019.

Speaking at the event, Deputy Minister Luong Tam Quang applauded the efforts and achievements gained by the Party organization and Party members of the Department over the past time.

Deputy Minister Luong Tam Quang asked the Department’s Party organization to grasp thoroughly guidelines and resolutions of the Politburo, the Party Central Committee and the Central Public Security Party Committee on ensuring security and order and building the Public Security Forces.

It should implement effectively the scheme on enhancing the efficiency of operation of the security force.

It was assigned to actively study and make recommendations on legal documents to perfect the legal system, well perform the state management over national security related to religious, ethnic and social issues, and prevention and combat of terrorism.

At the congress, delegates elected a 15-member Party Executive Committee for the 2020-2025 term.
