Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Son conducts inspection of Cao Bang Provincial Police

Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Son, Deputy Minister of Public Security leading a delegation of the Ministry of Public Security on November 25 worked with the Cao Bang Provincial Police Department.

According to a report on police task performance in the first 10 months of 2019 delivered by Major General Nguyen Ngoc Toan, Director of the Cao Bang Provincial Police Department, the Cao Bang provincial police have successfully fulfilled their assigned tasks, particularly in ensuring local security and order.

Since the beginning of the year, Cao Bang provincial police have successfully investigated 311 criminal cases, or 81.41% of the total number, arrested 642 persons involved, prosecuted 282 cases, arrested 17 wanted fugitives, detected 272 drug-related cases, arrested 398 persons involved and seized 176 cakes and 1.14 kg of heroin, 2.39 kg of cocaine, as well as 107 homemade guns, while reducing the number of traffic accidents in the province.

Additionally, Cao Bang provincial police have deployed 57 professional police officers to 22 communes and townships of the province.

With their outstanding achievements in 2019, hundreds of units and individuals of the Cao Bang Provincial Police Department have received awards and honors from the State, the Government, the Ministry of Public Security and the People's Committee of Cao Bang Province.

Speaking at the meeting, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Son recognized and praised the achievements of the Cao Bang provincial police over the past years. The Deputy Minister also urged the Cao Bang provincial police to proactively solve complex security cases at the grassroots level, ensure border security, and prevent crimes, contributing to ensuring public order, security and safety and facilitating local socio-economic development in the province.
