Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Son inspects task performance of Ba Ria-Vung Tau Police

PSNews - A high-ranking delegation of the Ministry of Public Security, led by Deputy Minister, Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Son, on September 6 worked with the Ba Ria-Vung Tau Provincial Police Department on its task performance.

The working session between the Ministry of Public Security delegation and local police also saw the participation of Deputy Chairman of the Ba Ria-Vung Tau Provincial People Committee Le Quoc Tuan.

Senior Colonel Lam Minh Chien, Director of the Ba Ria-Vung Tau Provincial Police Department briefed the Deputy Minister and other delegates on outcomes of the unit’s task performance in the first 9 months of 2019 and its working plans for the remaining months of the year.

As the Ba Ria-Vung Tau Provincial Police Department has deployed comprehensive and drastic measures to prevent and fight crimes, the security and order situation has been improved and no criminal organizations nor gangs have existed in the locality.

Since the beginning of the year, the local police force has launched various effective campaigns to fight crimes, particularly “black credit” networks and hi-tech crime.

The Ba Ria-Vung Tau Provincial Police have also collaborated with professional agencies under the Ministry of Public Security to crack down on two large gambling network, run by foreigners, with a total bet of over 170 billion VND.

Meanwhile, the local police force enhanced the state management over social order and safety, and stepped up administrative reforms, creating favorable conditions for local people to handle administrative procedures at police offices in Ba Ria-Vung Tau.

Speaking at the event, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Son spoke highly of the Ba Ria- Vung Tau Provincial Police’s contributions to the province's socio-economic development.

Regarding its major missions in Q4, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Son urged the entire provincial police force to ensure local order and security while trying to contribute more to the local socio-economic development as well as defense and security consolidation. He suggested the police should advise the local Party committees and authorities at all levels on measures to ensure security and order.

Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Son finally requested the local police to take effective police measures against crimes, especially drug-related crime, at the grassroots-level.
